One of the pillars of the faith and belief of every Muslim is to believe in the hereafter. Allah has revealed to His prophets some important secrets about the future of mankind in order to warn us of the punishments for disobeying Him and give us glad tidings of the reward for those who obey Him. The prophet Muhammad (saw) prophecised and informed us about what to expect in the future including small and big signs of the last hour, to the events surrounding death, entering, shouting and questioning in the grave, pressing, punishment and resting in the grave as well as resurrection from the grave on the day of judgement and the gathering and account on that great day. Ultimately the end result of our lives will lead to either everlasting punishment in hellfire - jahannam, or everlasting pleasure in paradise - Jannah.
